Compare the same measurement
Divide each package price by its quantity. Both quantities must use the same unit, such as ounces, grams, sheets, capsules, or individual items. If one label uses a different unit, convert it before comparing.
How the percentage difference is shown
The calculator identifies the lower cost per unit and measures the gap relative to the higher unit price. For example, unit prices of $0.30 and $0.40 mean the cheaper option costs 25% less than the more expensive option.
Price is not the only value
A larger package may create waste, expire before use, require storage, or tie up more money. Quality, ingredients, warranty, convenience, return policy, and actual quantity consumed can matter more than the smallest unit price.
Enter final prices after any discounts that apply equally to the purchase. Taxes, deposits, shipping, membership costs, and quantity limits are not added automatically.
