Your draft stays in this browser
The editor saves one title and one plain-text draft to local browser storage shortly after each change. Returning with the same browser profile restores that draft automatically. There is no account, cloud synchronization, sharing link, or intentional upload of the note to Gypes. Live totals count words, Unicode characters, and lines.
Import and export ordinary text files
You can open a local TXT, Markdown, CSV, or JSON text file up to 2 MB. The browser reads it directly and replaces the current draft. Preparing a download creates a UTF-8 TXT file from the current editor contents. The generated filename is based on the note title with unsafe filename characters removed.
Local autosave is convenient, not a backup
Private browsing, browser cleanup, storage restrictions, another device or profile, a reset, or clearing site data can remove the stored draft. Download important work regularly and keep it in a backed-up location. This is deliberately a plain-text scratchpad, not a collaborative or rich-text document editor.
Do not rely on browser storage as the only copy of important, confidential, legal, medical, financial, academic, or recovery information. Anyone with access to this browser profile may be able to read the local draft.
