Edit a PDF without uploading it

The editor reads and renders your PDF locally with the browser copies of PDF.js and pdf-lib. Additions are stored only in this tab until you download a new PDF or leave the page. Gypes does not intentionally receive the selected document, signature, image, or edited output.

What this editor can change

You can place new Latin text, freehand ink, translucent highlights, a hand-drawn signature, and PNG, JPEG, or WebP images on any page. Added text, ink, and images are embedded into the downloaded PDF. The original page content remains underneath.

What it does not change

This tool does not rewrite, erase, reflow, redact, or correct existing PDF text. Covering content with a shape or image is not secure redaction because the underlying content may remain recoverable. Password-protected files are not supported. Existing digital signatures will normally become invalid after editing, and the drawn signature feature is a visual mark—not identity verification or a certificate-based digital signature.

Review before relying on the result

PDFs can contain unusual page boxes, rotations, forms, scripts, accessibility structure, and other features. Preview every edited page in the downloaded file and keep the original. Use an approved document or e-signature workflow when legal enforceability, accessibility, permanent redaction, records retention, confidentiality, or regulatory compliance matters.

Everything is processed on this device, but browser extensions, downloaded-file destinations, device backups, and the security of your own computer remain outside Gypes’ control.
