Combine PDFs without uploading them
Select between 2 and 20 PDF files. Use the up, down, and remove controls to set the document order, then merge and download the result. The browser reads the selected files and creates the combined PDF locally; Gypes does not intentionally receive their contents.
What is preserved
Visible pages, their dimensions, rotation, graphics, and embedded page resources are copied into the new file. The merger does not promise to preserve document-level bookmarks, portfolios, attachments, scripts, digital signatures, accessibility structure, or every interactive form behavior. Existing digital signatures will not validate as signatures of the newly created document.
Encrypted and very large PDFs
Password-protected or encrypted files are not supported. The page limits selection to 20 files and 100 MB total, but browser memory limits may be lower—especially on phones. The output can be similar in size to the inputs because merging is not compression.
Verify the output before replacing anything
Record the source order and page count before merging. Open the downloaded result in a separate PDF reader, confirm the first and last page from every source, compare the expected total page count, search for known text where appropriate, and inspect rotated or mixed-size pages. A successful download proves that a file was produced, not that every annotation, form field, bookmark, attachment, or accessibility tag survived. Keep the originals until the merged file has passed the checks required by its intended use.
Understand the local-processing boundary
The selected files are handled by JavaScript in the current browser and are not intentionally uploaded to Gypes. They can still exist in the browser process, operating-system temporary storage, download folder, backups, synchronization services, or managed-device logs. Use a trusted device and browser profile for confidential material, close the page when finished, and follow organizational retention rules. Local processing reduces network disclosure; it does not provide a complete secure-document workflow or certify deletion from the device.
Review the downloaded PDF before deleting originals or relying on it. Keep source documents and use an approved document workflow when retention, signatures, accessibility, evidentiary integrity, confidentiality, or regulatory compliance matters.
