Document preview
Approximate on-screen previewSave selectable text as a PDF
The document preview uses plain text and print CSS, so copied text is not treated as webpage code. Select paper size, orientation, margins, font size, spacing, and alignment, then choose “Print / Save as PDF.” In Chrome and Edge, select “Save as PDF” as the destination; in Safari, use the PDF menu in the print sheet; other browsers may use a similarly named option.
Why this uses the browser print system
Modern browsers already support searchable Unicode text, font fallback, page breaking, and platform print controls. Using that system preserves more languages and symbols than a small embedded PDF font and avoids sending the document to a conversion server. Printer headers, footers, scale, and background options remain under your control in the print dialog.
Preview and printed output can differ
The on-screen sheet is an approximation. Browser print engines, installed fonts, minimum printer margins, page scaling, and operating-system settings can change line wrapping or pagination. Check the print preview before saving, especially for signatures, tables made with spaces, formal submissions, or fixed page-count requirements.
Privacy
Gypes does not intentionally transmit or store the title or text entered here. The print dialog and PDF destination are provided by the browser or operating system. If a browser offers a cloud printer or online destination, selecting it may send the document to that provider, so choose a local “Save as PDF” destination for local-only processing.
This tool formats plain text; it does not create accessible tagged-PDF structure, verify archival PDF/A compliance, or guarantee a particular printer’s pagination.
