Browser voice reader

Text to speech

Choose an available voice, adjust speed, pitch, and volume, then listen with pause and resume controls without sending the text to Gypes.

Read text with voices supplied by the browser or device

The available voice list comes from the Web Speech synthesis API. Voice names, languages, pronunciation, quality, and availability differ across operating systems and browsers. The tool divides long input into shorter segments, queues them in order, and applies the selected rate, pitch, and volume to every segment.

Playback is not an audio-file generator

The browser speech API provides listening controls but does not expose the generated waveform to this page. Gypes therefore does not claim to create MP3, WAV, or another downloadable audio file. Pause and resume support can also vary by speech engine, particularly when a device switches apps or locks its screen.

Voice processing may be local or service-backed

Gypes does not intentionally receive or store the entered text. Some voices are identified by the browser as device voices, while other voice implementations may contact a browser, operating-system, or accessibility service. That behavior is controlled by the selected voice provider rather than this page. Avoid confidential, medical, legal, financial, identity, or authentication content unless you trust the device and voice service.

Synthetic speech can mispronounce names, abbreviations, numbers, symbols, code, or mixed-language text. Listen critically and do not rely on it as the sole channel for safety instructions, emergency information, legal notices, medication directions, or accessibility compliance.
